The KfE program, launched in 2018, equips public school teachers from the DMV area with an in-depth understanding of Korea and its culture. The target audience comprises K-16 educators from both public and private schools. As of Spring 2023, the 11th cohort, consisting of both beginning and intermediate levels, has successfully completed the program. To date, over 100 K-12 educators from public and private schools have successfully graduated from the program.

Bob has taught English as a foreign language in South Korea and a second language in the USA for over two decades. In 2016 he started the first Korean program as a foreign language elective in a public high school in Maryland. He holds dual MA degrees: one in TESOL from UMBC and another in Korean from Middlebury College, in addition to being a National Board-Certified Teacher (NBCT).
